Remote programming with VAG-COM

One thing my A8 didn't come with is the keyless remote.
If I purchase one from ebay, can I program it with VAG-COM?
Anybody has done this?

Look at this older post. Its easy to program, w/o VAG COM. VAG COM only if you want central

I like the auto lock/unlock.
