Remote Start?
Has anybody here attempted to install remote start on A8?
I have local shop running special for $129.95 installed on add-on module to existing OEM alarm. All they need is a valet key to use the chip inside the key. I wonder 97 A8 valet key has chip built into it...

No chip in a 97-99
That's for the immobilizer....cars that came to the states did not have it installed in the keys....I think they just use the extra key for the immobilizer....should not be a problem for you.
