Removing menu/nav switches

Removing menu/nav switches
I would like to remove and clean the underside of the menu/nav buttons 'cuz some of them stick (...likely due from spillage from the nearby cup holder).
Has anyone ever removed the buttons or the entire menu console?

No but let us know how its done....
I claim it's Hans n Klauses passive aggressive statement on cupholders that led them to put them buttons there;-)
I mean; come on!
Shouldn't be too hard to remove really, but that's just a guess.

Thanks for the reply Bill. And I don't think Hans & Franz have ever tried to jam a 'super-size' cup into that dinky cupholder. And don't even try to operate the nav **** when there's a big cup in the holder!
I'll keep you posted on my attempt to remove and clean the button console.

Is this the "Bill" from W. VA? If so, I used to e-mail you several years ago when I was in the market for an ur-S6 avant. Small world...

need to lift the console trim...
i don't have nav, but my menu switch sits in a box however, iirc, that only comes out with the console trim which is a bit of a pita (remove armrest etc)...
