replacing cruise/turn mast on 99 A8.
Can anyone suggest any pointers in replacing the cruise mast on 99A8??
Iam planing to do it this weekend and hope I can get some feedback before that.

It's pretty easy
If you have the Bently it tells you how to do it. The first 8 of about 10 steps is already documented on audipages in the ignition switch procedure. I think you just take the switch plate off after you do what the ignition procedure tells you to get to the ignition switch. The procedure is at the URL below....just disconnect the battery and take the air bag apart, it's no big deal. Good luck!
If you have a digital camera and want to take a few more pictures of the electrical connectors and how you take the switch stalk off....do so and we'll add it to audipages.

I would like to get an old switch.
I am looking for a non-working/replaced cruise control switch stalk to take apart and experiment on. If you don't have a use for the old part I would like to obtain it from you. I will pay shipping to my location. Let me know if interested. Hope the replacement works for you.
