Well, it seems that Audi DO offer OEM rubber mats in Germany. I was browsing in the Audi Germany website looking for some other information and found this two part numbers listed as rubber mats for A8s
Front: 4D0061511 041
Rear: 4D1061501A 041
Can anyone verify if these are in fact valid part numbers?

I just collected my rubber mats from the dealer yesterday and fitted them today!!
So yes, they are definitely available, for front and rear, though I only fitted fronts.
I am in the UK so mine are RHD, but the part number for the (RHD) front set is:-
4D2 061 501 A 041
If you get any problems locating them in the US, try Martyn at The Parts Department in the UK:-

...there's both LHD and RHD cars!!!!!!
Here in North America, Audi, believe it or not, do not offer fitted rubber floor mats! Since the part numbers match, that means I can't get them

Just checked out the new Audi store in the Audi USA site, the rubber mats are listed out of stock, but can be ordered. These mats are only suitable for A8s after December 2000 however.

Kelvin, the tag on mine said A8 '00>, but my car is a '99, and they fit just fine. Well actually, there is one small issue with them that you should know about. The snap fasteners in front of the seats, do not snap on the new mats, though they do locate over the posts. The snap 'barb' appears to be too low down in the mat. Just an observation.

I have a 2000 a8L and when I inquired with my dealer about winter mats, he showed me the Audi catalog which says they are only available in black. I have a tan interior and would prefer a tan colored mat. Does anyone know if they come in another color?
Has anyone tried the mats4less website products yet?

My car is Ebony pearl/black so the color choice for me was easy.
On the site they indicate they have in gray and tan, however I expect until they showed up you would have no idea as to the color-match.
The rear mats could have been a little longer, however width is fine.
The fronts, for both the driver and passenger side, could have been a little bit wider (maybe 1/4 - 1/2 an inch) to perfectly and completely fill the foot well, and maybe a touch longer as well. Part of this may be due to the fact that my car is an 8L, and the slightly longer wheel base (and extra leg room) are the reasons for the length being off a bit.
The material feels quite good -- a thick pliable non-slip chunk of rubbery stuff with deep ribs and the ability to collect and hold a large amount of snow/water/dirt/sand.
Bottom line -- not perfect, but more then up to the job. $69.95 delivered and they showed up three days after I placed the web order -- excellent on both points there.

I'm just wondering about that since the carpeted floormats have velcro attached. I'm also wondering if these mats are for A8 only and the rear mats may slide around if there's no velcro to secure the mats down...
