Would S4 17 wheels with 225/45/17 look too small on a 99' A8? Whould there be too much space in the wheel wells?
I purchased a set and want to know if I should bother putting them on or just swap the tires for 225/55/17s currently on the car with the OEM wheels.

Or searching is cool, but since it is still on the first page....
Also note ryoungs post in that thread:
The 225/45-17 is really much too small in diameter. - ryoung 2005-01-03 11:55:27 (57 views)
But if these ideas still do not work for you, that size tire is too small on the A8
It will show the wrong speed, and you will just add miles on the 8 quicker. Lets not forget that will look silly as hell on an A8.

The question rings a bell, from this morning. :-)<ul><li><a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/a8/msgs/83286.phtml">Re: 225/45-17 on an A8</a></li></ul>

I thought the D2 A8 is heavier.
Anyway, when the A6 2.7T first came out in 2000 it originally had 225/45/17 tires available as an option. Those tires were later recalled due to load rating and replaced with 235s. Maybe it was that specific tire model, but it still indicates to me to be careful.
