S8 Brakes
#12
Go for the Ferrodos DS2500 they are much better than stock for street use.
I admit that I demand a lot out of my brakes even on the street but I have had no problem with squealing so why not enjoy better braking. I track a 944T too so I obviously like to stop quickly.

Re: lifespan ... ???
I've never really kept track, but nothing remarkable, either short or long. They're available from RaceShopper.

Re: Ah, 'there' is just the info I was looking for before opining. There was...
I completely forgot to edit my signature. Nice set of cars in your sig, I am particularly envious of the 930!

Ooooo, nice Ming '03... course you know...
...Ming is the //Slowest 8-). Sorry, long running (and likely not so funny) joke.
Thanks for the thoughts on me junkers. If you're local to CT you're welcome and encouraged (!) to come check them out over a beer or 3 sometime (beerz after check-out, that is). Der 930's in storage for the winter, miss it dearly but also rather hate scraping - soooooooo...
951 details always appreciated! Colleague has one, ALLwayz enjoy a whirl in it. One of the best ergonomic positions I've experienced.

Re: Ooooo, nice Ming '03... course you know...
I definitely love my 951. It's out of commission temporarily because of a coolant leak (damn old hoses), but will be up and running as soon as it gets warm. It has full Turbo Cup suspension, along with a couple engine mods. I am planning to eventually convert it to a 2.8L turbo, which should get me between 375-400 RWHP. It amazes me that you can pick one up for under $7k nowadays. They're cheap enough, I may pick up another for parts and backup duty. By the way, I thought it was proven that Ming Blue was the most aerodynamic color!

Re: Have / need a brake block?
Paul, I don't have a brake block yet. I really hadn't noticed a mushy brake pedal, so I didn't give it much thought. I suppose while I am doing all of this, it couldn't hurt. Do you have one for sale? feel free to shoot me an email at dagame27@yahoo.com
Thanks
