S8 suspension replacement - OEM? Aftermarket?
I've been noticing my S8 is gradually riding more and more like a buick. Has 143k miles on it. Given that lot of those were in Michigan and NYC, I'm not surprised that it's time to replace the shock absorbers.
Anyone had experience replacing with OEM parts vs. aftermarket? IMHO the factory suspension tuning on these cars is so amazing, I don't want to f things up!

Thinking about springs too? Still on originals? Any rust near the bottom (smallest coil), esp on the rears? A lot of em failed at this point on S8 and A8. Audi defect...for some reason, many form surface rust first, mainly at the same point described and eventually break there.

Interesting about the springs - would have to inspect and quote the replacement, but seems like you might as well do them while in there.
Anyone have a idea about pricing on factory S8 shocks and springs?
