Or anyone using the basslink; is it a nice, natural, soft bass reproduction? Hard to describe, but the kind of bass you get out of high end home theater set-ups(minus the sub).

-After everyone has been talking about subs and their stereos, now I listen to mine with utmost scrutiny and distaste knowing that it could be better.

That and how long have you had it? I read that these things burn out periodically.

It sounds great. Has been in for 6 months now. I am very picky about sound (like ohbw). I have installed boxed subs and amps in my previous cars (Nissan 300ZX, Toyota Tundra) but this one sounds the best. It is TOO powerful however, and I have the settings at about 50%. If I had a huge box and amp in the trunk it would be overkill (unless you wanted to annoy the neighbors!). I put a Kenwood Woox in my A4, and it sounds great also. Check this out:

It's easy to overwhelm the existing system with too much bass, thus my interest in compact subwoofers. Anything is better than what Audi describes as a subwoofer - you should see what is in the A4's hat deck - looks like a black frisbee!
