S8's hit all time low on ebay
Oh my. $12,999 for a 2001. I'm doomed to never sell my car and will need to resort to attempting to total it by involving myself in some sort of serious accident. For anyone looking for what "seems" to be a great deal, here's the link!

I just sold mine and got very fair money as it was in excellent condition and had a 3yr warranty. You'll do the same with yours.
Offer it for sale with a one year warranty, and when time comes to sell it and provide the warranty I will hook up your buyer for cheap.
With high miles and no warranty, people are nervous buying these cars.

Yeah it is a bit pimpy, maroon and all. Needs some bling I suppose. Bruce, whatya think a 1 yr warranty will run me. I 'm liking your approach here.

My advice
Post some pictures and put it up on ebay. Where do you have it advertised? You better sell it soon as they are dropping like a rock in the past 4 months.
You don't need a warranty, you need a good cleaning, a great camera and an overcast day to take great pictures. You could sell it on craigslist or ebay.

I sold my car in exactly 24 hours
Took those great pictures of the interior (better than anything I had, used D40 on overcast day with no flash and wide angle).
The exterior pictures I took in my ghetto garage. My car was very old, had a lot of mods, but sold for $8,500 in one day. I think I got out good.
