Default "I ganked the Ferodo's and pasted them up with some wheel bearing grease"

I have a horrible brake squeal myself. Can you tell me exactly where you added the grease? Thanks!

BTW, your car is looking good.

Default I like your line of thinking on the satin blk mirrors, but would seem sacrililage to do to...

...such purty pieces.

I've often pretended all my window trim was black, and then would consider matching the mirrors to that, but it's not happening.

Tx for the thoughts tho and praises certainly!

ps. *NOTHING* is cooler than the satin aluminum trim on the RS6 - it's softer than a baby's **** and ohsoSEXY!!! Me likey me wanty. Maybe I'll scuff mine up someday heh heh...

Default Grassyass on the looks - on the grease, apply to the 2 side edges where...

...the pad slides down in the caliper. Then I hit the backing plates where I could see where the pistons left a circular impression. Lastly, I hit the tin retaining clip where the pins slide through, as well as the face of the clip where it touches the caliper / pad.

Silent as a mouse!

I used 100000 year old Volvo wheel bearing grease as that's all I had laying around.

Thanks KNYZ, but I'll pass as again that'd necessitate blacking the window trim IMO.

Default ps. I also shot the snot out of the dust boots on the pistons w/ brake clean as I was...

...getting a slight pad 'hang-up'on the right, was scuffing audibly at low speed and would go away with pedal pressure.

Scuffing gone now too. The boots were pretty gum'd up...

Default AWESOME!

So much nicer! I especially like how much more light they let versus the original wheels. I told you it would look good :-). Now even more heads will turn when you roll down the road. Thanks for sharing the befores and afters...
