Default seat/mirror/steering wheel memory.

I have been trying to re-set memory settings for these items. I followed owner's manual procedure of setting everything and then depressing the memory button as you also depressed one of the 4 memory buttons. Still, it won't store the new settings. Any ideas? 97 A8

Dumb question, but as I remember there was an "on/off" button also with the 4 memory setting, and it couldn't be reset if that wasn't pressed in properly.....did you check that??

Default If I recall, ...

.
you have to hold both buttons for a few seconds (until you hear a relay click).

Yes , the manual says to hold the off/on button down while pushing one of the four memory buttons simultaneously, So far, no luck. Maybe I'll just take the module out for a while. Maybe some retained power memory?

The on/off button should be in the depressed position (on), it's a two position switch.

Once it's pushed in, then set your seat and mirrors, then press the memory button and hold it down. When the memory button is held down, press the 1, 2, 3 or 4 and you should hear a relay click.

That should be it!

Memory button is not too easy to discover. I suspect this could be the case here. Quite normal.

Default Paul beat me to the fix......

I feel good I could at least help but find out where the problem is......

Can I be mentioned when you put this on Audipages??

Just kidding......

You know, if you want to have something for the site from someone who went through the an aluminum repair, I'd be happy to try to put something together for you.....let me know if you are interested

So far no luck. Still keeps the old settings no matter what. Minor inconvenience for now. Thanks for all suggestions.
