Sender For Output RPM (G195) or TCM issue

If the input speed is not 0 rpm in D with the brake applied, then you possibly have a bad clutch A seal or cracked housing.
When everything is fine, the tranny runs on low pressure. You put it in D and the low pressure can't maintain enough friction on the clutches---- input-output speed difference occurs ----TCU locks in limp mode applying full pressure on clutch A in 4th gear and you can move the car.

I just also realized that the alternator is bad (no output voltage) and needs to be replaced. Would this affect the trans in any way (voltage to the solinoids)?

First time I checked in here for a few months. I haven't read through all these posts in detail, but my impression is it is something internal. Relative to the later posts that went toward the solenoids, make sure you run the solenoid/valves test per Bentley too--it is by no means definitive, but it gives you one more thing to check out.
For the experienced tranny guys, isn't one of the valves basically a main tranny pressure control?
For vcarter 911, what was your ohm reading again on the output sensor itself? I thought it was supposed to be like 2K+ ohms--it's in Bentley.

They tested it on the car and couldn't find anything electrically wrong with the car. They had to charge me over 600 just to pull it out and tear it down to figure out what was wrong with it. They found that something was blown apart and there was metal in everything (wierd because I didn't find any metal or shavings when I replaced the filter and fluid last month). They needed to replace some of the gears, all clutches and the torque converter. Including the pulling fee, they total will come to just under 3k for the rebuild and installation. Is this a good price? I know its high, but considering the car, does the bill fit? Any feedback would be great.
