Snowflake on dash?

Snowflake on dash?

Is there any other reason a snowflake would appear on my display other than the temperature is colder than I want it to be? :-)

It indicates that the outside temperature is cold enough for snow and or ice to form......

as if we can't figure that out for ourselves!!!!!

I think it's from 41 to 22 degrees...

If it is less than 22 you should know that it is cold??!

It is not too annoying on the 99 A8, but on a 2000 Passat, it was loud and daily. I don't notice it throughout the winter, only after it has been in a warm garage, and then driven into quickly changing outdoor temps.

40 degree mark is ok, but when a road becomes an ice rink at 32, after a quick freezing drizzle... don't remind me!!! SCARY!
