Default So it appears it's a wiring problem or F125 switch problem

I'm going to say a wiring problem, something that is wet.

It just started raining, crummy picture of my car in the garage (it smells like the beach with the carnuba wax smell in there):

<img src="http://www.audipages.com/house/sm_DSC_8499.JPG">

The electronics box is bone dry. The detailer said he used a hose very lightly in the engine compartment which I believe.

Indication with 02 TCU installed in PARK:

<img src="http://www.audipages.com/house/sm_DSC_8518.JPG">

The when I go to REVERSE OR NEUTRAL I get this:

<img src="http://www.audipages.com/house/sm_DSC_8521.JPG">

In REVERSE, it does not engage reverse.

If I go to drive, this is what I get, and it does engage drive, however, when like this it didn't shift out of first until I the "D" light up:

<img src="http://www.audipages.com/house/sm_DSC_8523.JPG">

Then I put the 01 TCU into the car, and this is what I get in DRIVE, I still get N for reverse and neutral:

And bringing the shifter down through the pattern, it lights up "3" when the shifter is in "3", but nothing is light up in D, 4 or 2.

Printed the wiring diagram out.....time to start figuring it out.

Default I would think it has to be something got wet

especially since it happened while getting detailed (let's hope so). On the bright side, the engine compartment and body look amazing! I'm sure that car looks and smells like new. Very nice. :-)

Default Now that I was playing with it a little bit I think it might be the cable adjustment

It goes into "N" on the dash right as I swing it through the begining of "R".

I disconnected the TCU, reverse is most definitely there. And before it would go into limp mode (with 02 Sport TCU) if you went down into "2" on my 01 shifter....now it does it when it goes down to "3". So maybe the shifter got forced somehow and the cable adjustment slipped.

Default hmmmm but how would that happen while at the detailer?

Default I don't know

Just looking at how it is acting. All the fuses are good, and last night when it went into D, it went on/off for a few times before it stayed there. It could never get into S.

I just spoke with Gabor and it would be easy enough to check the cable adjustment.

Default When I pulled it this morning - no codes on transmission

Nothing on the engine that is related to this.
