Default Update.........

Problem fixed!!!!!!!!! For 0 Dollars!!!!!!!

I removed TCU from car (10 min), took it apart and used a fan for about an hour to dry it out. Put it back in the car and everything works just fine.

Looked at the bill from the Stealer, they wanted $1480 for the part and was going to charge 3.5 hours of labor to put in in. In the end it would have been a $2000 job. We got it done for 0 Dollars.

Thanks for everyones input.

Now, the Stealer wants a 15% restocking fee..............

Default 3.5 hours? Man, that's high. The TCU (as you know) is a 30 min swap at most.

Nice save!

This time last week I was mixing up the ECU and TCU but have learned a lot since then.

Default I'd tell them to

shove it up their rear end. Unless the guy already paid for it. They can return it to the parts center for no charge.

Please......

Default I would cancel the payment on the CC.

3.5 hours sounds like a lot of time
