Default So I am about to replace all four shocks and I was reading through the blauparts catalogue.

The Query to the board is when replacing the shocks Blauparts recommends replacing the boots, strut mounts, strut mount bearings, and stops. I am intending to replace the front strut mounts but I am having trouble locating the bearings and stops for the front and the whole shebang for the rear. Should any credence be given to their recommendation and where can I find these parts other than from the stealer? ECS and Blauparts dont carry them for our cars. Any suggestions are welcome, and if Im barking up the wrong tree, please point me in the right direction. TIA

Default My .02

I didn't replace all the miscellaneous items mentioned by Blau when I did my Bilstein / Eibach upgrade. No probs so far. (fingers crossed)

Default I did Bilsteins and didn't replace any of that except...

for the boots and stops. No problems after 16K. But, I think I'd consider the bearings, etc. if the car had higher miles/notable wear. My car only had about 50K at that point.

Default I did the same shock upgrade and only replaced the upper strut mount

even though mine still looked good. so far 10k no issues and I don't expect any......I think that is over kill, unless you track the car hard...

My fronts clunk at braking and accelerating from dead stop and I have 68K. I am going to do all.
