If TB done recently, check it for accuracy. Have you checked the MAF? Any codes?

no codes at all. car runs great otherwise...how do i check the MAF, TB etc using VAGCOM?

I used a long long long extension on an O2 sensor socket (impact quality with a slit up the side) from just over the throttle body with the rubber intake feed removed and the snorkel rotated up out of the way and it was worse then having sex for the first time. You can't find anything down there...wait thats not the right bit... but once you get it right it is very satisfying.

You don't need a special tool to remove the O2 sensor just a deep socket.
