or since you're a tranny expert and ...
can remove the front end of an A8 in 15 minutes, you'd probably have no problem putting together a tranny cooler kit.
1. Fabricate some nice anodized aluminum brackets to hold the cooler in front of the radiator.
2. Fabricate a -AN line to run from the tranny to the new oil-to-air cooler
3. Fabricate a -AN line to run from the new cooler to the existing oil-water cooler.
Some of the better coolers are available from <A HREF="http://www.fluidyne.com/">Fluidyne</a>, and while you're at it, you could make a kit to replace that silly U-tube power steering "cooler" with a real power steering fluid heat exchanger. Put me down for both kits, I believe they'd go a long way toward eliminating tranny and power steering rack problems. What would you charge for installation?

Paul, glancing down this long list of modifications available to you,
my first thought was. . . it looks like a "Honey Do" list that one's wife might tape to a 6 pack of beer. . .bring back memories?
