I am very happy with my Nexen 3000. Directional, run flat 255/45 R18.

Contis have mixed reviews for noise and balance. Michelin Pilot Sport A/S are nice but big bucks. I am going with Kumho ASX for a 2004 A6 4.2

not a fun summer tire, but awesome the rest of the time. Squidgy and loud when pushed.

Default Agreed, but I live in Ohio...
Winter 7 months out of the year and a lot of rain during the other 5 months.

Snow/wet is more of a concern here than warm, dry roads.
