....you can't always get what you want.....but if you try real hard.....
you know the rest.....
Anyways, I basically got taken on these wheels. The guy didn't ship them when he said he did (no big deal as long as I get the fourth one)....but the reason why the two that arrived yesterday were late is because they were being fixed (or should I say HACKED) by somebody.
Oh, did I mention that he never said ANYTHING about the condition of the rims and that they were all F'uckd up??? He said they were great and I would love them.
The pictures do them no justice, there is a huge pool of aluminum weld material on the repair, the inside of the rim wasn't even contoured down....I would never mount a rim on them....I cleaned them up last night....brought them over to have them mounted today and the guy (Al at Chicago Performance & tuning) and he said he would do it, but does not recommend it.

You can never say if something might happen or not...but it's not worth having a wheel break on my car on the track.....so I'm sending them back to Fiske for repair. They'll replace the inboard half of the rim on two of them.
Still haven't got the fourth, wonder what shape that one is going to be in.
It's going to be awfully tight to get them back for Grattan......bummer.
