Strange DTC
Recent I deiscovered this DTC in my 95 A8 4.2l
VAG-COM Version: Release 303.1
Control Module Part Number: 4D0 907 557 E
Component and/or Version: 4,2L V8/4V MOTR AT D01
Software Coding: 04263
Work Shop Code: WSC 00000
1 Faults Found:
17916 - Idle Control Sys: Upper Regulation Limit Reached
P1508 - 35-00 - -
Can anyone give me a clue about it ?

a problem with the idle function
possible air leak, idle air control (iac), or throttle problem.
do a output dtm on the iac valve to check that it is working... (n71 is sequence #9)

Clear the DTC and see if it returns. If there are no noticable problems with the engine....
then the DTC may just be a one-time glitch and not an actual problem. If the DTC returns after clearing it, then there is likely a problem that needs diagnosis.
