tech note 489901?

There is a reference in that thread to a tech note 489901, but I can't find more information about it. Does anyone know what's it about?

Mine does....oh love that heated steering wheel

It warms up pretty quickly, within 2-3 minutes when it's cold out and seat heater is on. You don't want it to get hot otherwise it will burn through the leather.

It has a thermostat and then it turns off once warm. Maybe it regulates current through it to keep it to a minimum. I don't know.

But on a cold day with no gloves, you'd know if it works or not.
