they came with brand new Continetal Touring Contact tires (I'd be interested in hearing from anyone who has these what their impressions are). The original plan was to go with Goodyear F1s and more recently I've looked at the new Michelin Pilot Sport PS2s. Now I'm wondering if those tires are going to be more than the stock 2000 A8L suspension can handle. You guys with the F1s, P Zeros, SO3s, etc. care to chime in with your thoughts, I'd appreciate it. Thanks

I have Continetal Touring tires for the winter on my 17" wheels in my sig....they are fine for handling, but they suck in the snow....
My P Zero Asymetricals for the summer (245 width) are sooo much better in the grip department.
Your 00 A8L can use all the grip it can get! The more the better, get some sticky rubber....you'll never turn back!

Those PZero Rossos are great tires for summer. I had them on my M5 and by a stroke of luck, they are also the tires on my new A8L. They wear fast, but they also keep you safe on the summer roads.

I love my Eagles. But I am a Goodyear, Dunlop, and Kelly tire dealer. I do sell all brands, including Continental and Michelin. The Continentals you are refering to is a touring performance tire and is nowhere near the Eagle or the pilot. The Conti might last a little longer but the Michelin & Goodyear is going to perform better in all traction and handling area by a significant amount. Good luck
