What if I had summer tires on all year long? Here in Washington State there is snow on the roads maybe two days out of the year. The roads are wet here a lot but aren't summer tires better in the rain.

If your tires are rated as all season, they should be ok. All season tires rubber compounding so they get softer in cold temp and harder in hot temps. Also tires that have silica has additional benefits in colder temps.
So depending on your tread design, they might be ok for you all year round.

This is what I use. They are a great compromise if you don't get too much snow.<ul><li><a href="http://www.tirerack.com/a.jsp?a=AR4&url=%2Ftires%2Ftires.jsp%3FtireMake%3D Yokohama%26amp%3BtireModel%3DAVS%2BdB%2BS2%26amp%3 BvehicleSearch%3Dtrue%26amp%3Bpartnum%3D26WR6DBS2% 26amp%3BfromCompare1%3Dyes">http://www.tirerack.com/tires/t
