Hello, I'm sorry if I'm using the wrong descriptions or terminology, but I don't believe the special features of my solar sunroof designed to keep the cabin comfortable if it hits a certain temperature are working properly. Any suggestions on how to address this problem? All help would be very welcome.
thanks in advance,
Ray

After you turn the car off on a warm day(with the roof closed), can you hear the sound of an electric fan motor blowing? You should be able to hear it run if it is at all warm outside.
If not, you'll need to troubleshoot and might need VAG-com. I know I can hear a fan motor running with the ignition off and key out when I park outside in the sun on a warm day.

It hasn't gone above 72 degrees here so far this year, and I honestly can't say that I've heard the fans come on yet after closing and locking the car.
So what sort of troubleshooting might be involved here?
thanks,
Ray

...you should hear a fan/motor running that's cooling the cabin. If not, or don't have a VAG-COM, take it to the dealer. At minimum they'll check it for you!
