Default SuperSprint Exhaust - First Impressions

It is awesome!

Sounds really nice....stil have only driven about 20 miles since the install....but I like! I don't think I would ever go back.

Sounds like 2/3 of a mustang GT....mostly just a different resonance at low RPM's. At upper RPM's (about 3,500) it doesn't seem to make a huge sound difference, at least in the cockpit. You can hear the engine as much as the exhaust.

You can hear it mostly at low RPM's....nice rumble....and when you are at 1400 RPM and give it some gas, you can hear it.

While on the highway, you can't really notice any difference if you are just cruising along. If you give it a little gas, you can hear it.

Performance wise.....seems like the car is more responsive. Don't know if it's me....but it sure seems like it has a little more power.

After that....I'm thinking I want more power!

JayS8 had it on his S8 before, he said that he had a cold air intake (not just a K&N filter) that he put on his S8 that made a difference, more than the exhaust.

So how about a twin turbo or supercharger?

Default Any details on the cold air intake? JayS8?

It's time to replace my air filter, and I was thinking about either this, or a K&N.

Default I had mine custom made

Used the kit from LLtek but the heat shield (most important part) was fabricated. Makes a nice improvement when the car is moving and the cold air really takes effect.

Default Couple questions ...

Is the rear muffler the "Magnum" or the "Class"? I assume the latter is quieter.

Did you notice any significant weight difference between the Supersprint and OEM exhausts?

I noticed that the Supersprint site says "764712 Front crossover pipe kit, Available soon To be installed as a kit with 761803". Maybe I'll use this an an excuse to upgrade my exhaust. I'm looking forward to hearing/seeing your exhaust at Mid-Ohio. And BTW: The Mid-Ohio registration forms are now available. They'll start taking forms after March 1, but don't wait to long, Mid-Ohio fills up quickly.

Default It's the Magnum

From those pictures, that's the one I have. I should of weighed both, but it's a lot lighter, I would think 10 lbs or so.

The crossover pipe is not available. Just cut your exhaust like I did, you would never go back, and if you did, then it's really no problem, just put it two sleeves to reattach.

I'm going to Mid Ohio, make sure you post and that I reply when they are taking the applications. Thanks!

Paul
