Default Let me get this straight. Only drill if you are replacing?

Is it safe to reuse a drilled one?

Wishful thinking.

No, drilled bolts are not to be reused. New bolts are like $2.

Default Big Warning says "don't try to expand the pinch!"

I just started the driver's side CV joint boot replacement tonight - the pinch bolt came out slicker'n'snot. I don't really know what the PO did, but I suspect nothing. I can't figure why one bolt would be fine and the other frozen, except for differences in coating on the fasteners, and/or differences in the size of the bolt and the size of the hole that carries it.

Default Turkey Baster

The system capacity is 1l. Using a turkey baster, I sucked up 3/4 l. So, my PS fluid is now 25% as dirty as it was. Easier than messing around with hoses.
