Default Suspension upgrades to 97 A8?

Can anyone point me in the proper direction for obtaining suspension upgrades to a 97 A8? I'm looking for something stiffer than stock (to tame the squat, dive, and body roll) but not too harsh for everyday driving; compared to my BMWs and even my old Audi V8 this A8 just doesn't cut it in the corners -- very vague and 'floaty.' Someone on the board suggested an S8 suspension -- but what does that entail? Thanks!

Contact Hoppen Motorsports.
I know the S8 suspension kit replaces the orginial springs with stiffer, lighter, shorter (by 20 mm) springs. Since the springs run $750 for a set of 4 and the kit is $2,150 obviously there are other components that are replaced as well but you would need to speak with them to confirm the current kit contents. Contact info is at the bottom of the linked web page.

If you do not want to go to the expense of a full suspension upgrade and are not interested in lowering the car, Bilstein has just released an application for the A8. I met the NE Regional Manager at Waterfest this year, and he passed along the part numbers. I have installed a full set in my '97 at 51,000 mi and all I can say is too bad it took them this long!! The ride has dramatically improved...exactly what you describe as your "needs".

Fronts : BE3-2609 $100 each
Rears: BE5-2616 $116 each

Contact RD Enterprises (shox.com) they can have the parts drop-shipped directly to you from Bilstein (total cost was $462 plus shipping)
