Default Is this Taboo?

Okay, reading the A6 forum....Jin (kimchee) posts that he could get more power out of his A6 4.2, which I don't know if he sold it or not yet to get a M3....but.....

Check this thread out.....he has been playing with timing maps or the sort to increase performance using the stock 4.2 chip.

So how do you get the software? I clicked here and got it, don't know how long it will be up.

So you don't even have to uninstall it, just run it.....I really want to hook it into my car, but I don't know what the heck I should do with it....and don't want to fry anything....but isn't that how a tuner gets started???

It all got started here when talking about the performance of an A6 4.2 exahust.

Default Id rather find out who makes the chips for the 4.2

and go in that direction also adding an aftermarker exhaust. Conservative but safe!

Let us know if you go that route. I'm worried about pinging and passing the emission test...

Default This is something I surely want to try.

I downloaded that program, but I am confused on what parameters to set for each of the settings.

Default Some Explanation

Will someone please try this....

Some info says you might need to pull the instrument cluster fuse to get the settings to stay.

Lemmiwinks

This looks promising, but I'm not prepared to go *****-nilly flashing ECUs when I'm not an expert.
