Hey all you Audi wizards...
The dealer is recommending changing the timing belt at 60K and I believe the manual recommends 90K on my 01 S8. Any recommendations? I'm not in a rush to drop $1600 for the early change, and I'm not sure that the dealer isn't just trying to get money sooner rather than later. What do you guys think?

worry about changing the TB until the Audi recommended service interval, unless you or the dealer has some specific information indicating that it has been damaged.

I thought as much, but always like confirmation. Any other recommendations for things that should be done at 60K?

... have them change the transmission filter screen and refill with fresh fluid.
Have you had your brake fluid flushed within 2 years? No? Do that too.
