Is there a 'best' year for the S8?

I'm partial to the '03 ;-)
I much prefer the stock '03 wheels to the 01-02. Also I really like the interior trim on the blue and black '03's rather than the '01-'02 or the silver '03's. It's much brighter, I found the other to be very dull and drab. Just my $.02.

No. There were tan sport S8 seats w/ Alcantara in the USA. I have photos.

Over the last couple years, there have been a number of 2001-2002 S8's with tan (?beige?) alcantara seats on ebay and AutoTrader.com
Also, note that the Alcantara package (on S8 cars) was only available with the standard sport seats. Alcantara was NOT available with the optional luxury/comfort seats (which appear to be the same seats from '97-'99 A8's).
