Is there a Supercharger for the A8?

Hi Paul. 4k for 125HP sounds really cheap for an Audi considering that at some site it costs 20k plus for the RS6...Yeah right. Coming from a 300zx TT, my first inclination was to turbocharge, but I wouldn't want to do that to a car that is still under warranty, and being that one of the reasons I own it (the warranty). Supercharging may be easier (bolt on) and at low boost levels so there is no need to open the engine. What HP is obtainable Supercharging without lowering the compression? 40? 50?. I would be really happy with that....for a while.

I had a look into Supercharger/Turbo conversions a while back with Sven on Tyresmoke, but the thing that worried me was the compression ratio. From my calculations I felt that you wouldnt be able to run much of a psi increase safely. I appreciate that Luiz has managed it and there are a couple of others across the world so it would be interesting to know if they dealt with the compression issue at all. The S8 runs even higher compression than the A8, which I guess is one of the reasons the squeeze out the extra power.
Never say never though
I have a good friend that is just putting a S4 2.7 V6 biturbo engine in the back of a Volkswagen caddy!!! I'm sure if it was possible he could sort it out for me.

Guess I didn't put two and two together......we could possibly lower compression by putting in a head spacer plate.....
Oh well....can't dream all day!
