Think you don't need to change out your brake fluid? Think again!

Did one of my friend's brakes.....a 98 with 50K miles in great shape.
He never had the fluid changed....it's nasty!
I never use to change my brake fluid either until I started tracking my car.....now it gets changed out about twice a year or every track event.
I just changed mine out last week.....on the right....his on the left. You decide! :-)

On a more serious note and as you well know, brake fluid absorbs water, which makes it easier to boil the brake fluid fluid on the track ... not the place you want brake fade from boiling brake fluid.
Also, though, that same water slowly reacts with the brake fluid to form acids that corrode the master cylinder, brake calipers, and ABS pump internals. These are all expensive to replace, and regular bleeding increases their life.
