Default Thinking about lowering you car, but want to see how it's going to look before spending big $?

I bought a set of 4 of these clamps for $ 8 at AutoZone. It takes about 1 hour to install them. If you don't like it, you can take them off.

Default Stop, just stop

You do not own a civic or a neon. That crap does not belong on an A8.

I know, but I had to lower my car temporarily. I need to find out what to buy.

Default What did it do to the ride and handling of your A8?

Tell me more about these things....

How much did it lower your car?

$8 to lower your car in the summer months would be a real bargain...

Default My front wheel gap was horrible. It went down from 29" to 27.5".

I don't know how it would work for a season, but I had to have something for now. I like the way Paul's car looks, but it is too stiff for me. I never track my car, so cornering is not an issue. We plan a short vacation every year, but somehow we always end up somewhere on the West coast. This summer I drove 5640 miles in 3 weeks. I would hate to have a hard suspension.

Default why do you need a lower suspension? Just for the looks?

It can't be good for the coils of the springs to be pressed together like that.

Default The front looked like an Expedition.I am waiting for Santa to bring me something.

I don't think these will effect the springs resale value. They are old, stock with 120K miles.

Default Eibachs and Boges (send pics)

I am on the fence about what to do with mine. I looked at FK Coilovers but then found a pair of Eibachs on Ebay for cheap. I only need to find a dealer for the Boges to help make the cost vs benefit analysis. Send me what you have on your set up (with cost and vendor if possible).

Thanks,

I'm assuming this is temporary, just to see how it looks right?
