Throttle Response
I have a '97 4.2Q. Has anyone else noticed the somewhat abnormal throttle response of these cars? When blipping the throttle in park or N it seems as if the engine keeps revving for a brief moment after the pedal is released (giving the impression of very slow response). Does anyone know what causes this? It seems like an ECU problem.

Re: Throttle Response
It is not areal "positive" feeling. I have the same feeling. What is your transmission code?
I switched to 00011 within a week of purchase. This helped as it "disables" the learning mode of the Tran. control module.

Yes, if that is correct ...
I forget the details on your model year, but electronic throttles do have a "disconnected" feel. If you are used to cable throttles and quick return, this can be a downer.
