tiptronic gate.... faulty design?

when i drive the a8, i use the tip about 90%.... anyway, during some turns (with my right hand on the shifter) the shifter loses its position in the tiptronic slot. happened quite few times. of course, the WIDE-*** seat doesnt help either.
this could have been easily avoided if the tiptronic gate was on the LEFT rather than the right side of the shifter. i have a 99 honda prelude that is equipped with "sequential sportshift", this has the gate on the left. much better design in my oppinion.
what do you think?

Paul, I`ll take the case with an 80% fee that we`ll split!!LOL. BTW, do you recall the post in June showing a picture of Alpine 7" DVD screens in the front headrests? I`d really like to take a look at that. Thanks!!
