Tires
My Dunlop SP 9000s are wearing down.
I love these tires, BTW. Good treadwear and enough stickiness and comfort for sporty city driving.
However, nobody has them -- all out of stock (ETA 6 weeks). So I'm considering other tires (eg. Perelli PZero?) if any of you feel as strongly about simiular use tires -- please comment.
BTW, I really lize the PZero "look" but have no experience w/ them.

Too many choices...
Sven was very happy with the SP9000, too.
Myself, I had narrowed the list down to Pirelli PZero Nero M+S and Michellin PilotSport A/S (for 18' wheels).
The Pirellis were not available at the time (you can probably get them via Canada), so I went with the Michellins (via Sears).
To your point about looks, I think, too, that the Pirelli tread pattern suit me better, but...
If you're in a warm-er climate, you can consider the Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3. Has had very strong reviews.
Do a search within the last 6-8 months, you'll find a lot of posts...

What size are you running on your A8
The dunlop SP9000 is being phased out and replaced by the Sport 01 DSST. Depending on the size, I recommend the Goodyear Eagle F1GSD3 or Michelin Sport Pilots. I think either tire would be a slight edge above the Dunlops. They would probably last slightly longer as well. We have all stoped selling Dunlops HP tires at our shop because they wear out so fast.

Yup! Tirerack claims 8 weeks till restock...
...which makes me wonder if what TSHong is saying about them being discontinued is true. Maybe so, but would TireRack restock if so?
