Default Took the car to the dealer for some oil leaks ......

and they are telling me I have none!!!!!! They are telling me what I see is moisture with dirt, and that the heater pump noise is normal. Can not beleive this!. CPO warranty is up in a few days, but why would they avoid to perform the warranty work?

Default Grab a white rag and wipe some of the "moisture" off. If it is just wet dirt.....

it won't clump together and there won't be a brown stain left on the rag when you wipe the dirt off. And also ask them how is it that this "wet dirt" only accumulates under a gasket or seal, and not all over the engine, transmission, and everything else!!??????? The heater pump noise is subjective, so have them write up the complaint on the service ticket and if the pump goes out in the next year or so you will have some recourse.

Default AoA's CPO worths nothing!!!!!!!

When they called me with the "news" I just drove there. The dealer claims that AoA will not cover it under the CPO warranty unless the oil drips on the floor or on the belly pan. To AoA oil on the engine is not an oil leak. I finally convinced them to file for a claim with AoA anyway. They said that they will. The service department also told me that AoA became very cheap with the warranty because they were loosing a lot of money. Lets see how much more they will loose when people start getting annoyed with them and stop buying AUDI's. I saw one other member here who went with BMW because he got annoyied with them.
Also for the noise that I hear when the engine is hot they say that it is an after coolant pump located under the intake manifold and the noise is normal. Does any of you hear that pump running when the engine is hot?

Default TSB reference for Audi's leak categories

Audi categorizes leaks into 3 categories.

Apparently, a leak is not a leak unless "there is droplet formation and those droplets are dropping off." See, for example, TSB 150503.

I have run into this CPO issue as well. On the face of it, it seems absurd. Do any attorneys out there want to express an opinion?
