Reading the posts from Mid Ohio wetted my appetite.
I used to race Fromula Vee, single seaters here in the UK (9 Seasons, 120 races and never won one!). Anyway I had a look on the web and Donington Park has a Track Zone eveneing (5.30 - 8.30) on 30th June, price is £100 for the car and £20 for each extra driver/passenger.
So I am booked in with my Audi S8 and my Porsche 993 (As long as both are not on the track at the same time it still only costs £100).
I am not intending to go crazy, but it will be interesting to see how the two standard cars perform, in terms of lap times and braking distances etc. I guess I will just check the fluids, lower the tyre pressures and have fun! Hope to not trash the tyres.
If any other AudiWorld A8/S8 addicts fancy joining us it would be great. My daughter is going to take photos, so will try to post these.
Can't wait!

I have found starting at about 38 PSI in the front and maybe 37 PSI in the rear is a good starting point. The hot tire pressures after a 20 minutes session will be around 46-48 front and 44 or so rear.
Depending on how hard you push it, even at 46 hot on the front, the front left will still roll over.....
I'll take a few pictures of my front left tire and post them....you'd be surprised how far it rolled over! The rest didn't roll over at all.

Regarding hot tire pressures, my S8 seemed most balanced with 47 psi front and 45 psi rear. To get there, I started cold with 38 psi on both left side tires and 40 psi on both right side tires. This has worked with the S-03 and Pilot Sport at Mid-Ohio, but as you know, optimum pressures vary slightly from track to track.
