I had mine custom built... You're not the guy that asked me about mine in milwaukee are you? It cost around $300 fabricated and installed. There are excellent mounting spots when you remove the rear bumper.

Well I had one installed here in Mpls MN. About $700. Custom built, they said atleast as strong as a class one. I wanted one to haul utility trailer. Pulled snowmobile trailer with two sleds today. Did ok job but wouldnt recommend more than about 1500 lbs. Hitch was bolted to frame? at each end of bumper. Large bolt on each end.

I read somewhere that you need to be careful when selecting a hitch to insure it's coated/made out of materials that will not cause contact corrosion with the aluminum body. Is this a valid concern?

In the aluminum-steel battery that forms when the metals get wet, aluminum near the top of the <a href="http://www.ocean.udel.edu/seagrant/publications/corrosion.html">Galvanic Series</a> becomes the anode; and steel, further down, becomes the cathode. It's the aluminum that becomes the sacrificial anode and "corrodes" protecting the steel.
