Default Transmission acting odd...

Yesterday accelerating and at about 35 mph I get a couple of brief jerks and then it smooths out. Couldn't get it to repeat until later that evening. Always seems to be at 35mph, almost feels like the engine is cutting out.
Shifting produces a noticable thump. After the first occurance now it happens consistantly.

I ran autoscan with vag-com but it didn't throw any codes. I want to run vag-com on the transmission but I need instruction on how to do that.

Any thoughts and instructions will be appreciated.
Recoded the transmission to sport mode about 2 months ago, if thats helpful.

Default 35 mph is about when it shifts into 4th gear

It sounds like "thumping". When the torque converter closes violently. Unfortunately, there's no definitive solution other than a tranny rebuild. You can try a flush and drain of the tranny fluid.

Do a search for "hunting and thumping"

you might try a new throttle position sensor but that usually cures HUNTING, not thumping.

Default If it doesn't have a code, then not much to do with vag-com.

The only thing you can do is select transmission-measuring blocks and click log-start. It will record whatever happens (Microsoft excel) and you can study it later.
