Luiz, the guy in Brazil who has the twin turbo pre facelift S8, recently installed a transmission oil cooler in his car.....here is all the info he gave me:

It's a B&M Transmission oil cooler.
Paul,
Here is what I have done. I rerouted the transmission oil from the water radiator, to this new air cooler radiator. I installed also a sensor which informs to a small computer of the
oil temperature. The small computer is programed to switch the air conditioning fan to cool the transmission oil. It does switchs on at 130 Degrees F and switchs off at 110.
Works beautifully. I even got more traction on 4th and 5th gear now with the oil more cold.
The car is craving in 3 seconds from 120 up to 200 kilometers per hour.
Check this Brazilian saying:

Most transmission failures, when properly maintained, is caused by heat. Although I don't know if bypassing the radiator completly would be better than using both. You could add the cooler after the radiator and would introduce more cooling and more fluid capacity.

TSHONG,
Diverting the tranny oil from the water radiator, also guarantee that I will never have water on the transmission oil, in case the radiator goes rust or something. Believe me, that the transmission oil is working cooler than before.Regards,

How easy would it be to reroute the tranny cooler pipes? Also, possible an easy way to make a transmission fluid exchange adaptor ???
