My 97 A8Q transmission finally died completely even after a tranmission service revived it for about 10k. I think the tourque converter finally gave as it wont even go forward with out going into limp mode.
Wanted to get shop recommendations for any other A8 drivers that have had a tranny done in the Boulder/Denver area. The dealers want 6k+ and I know an independent should be able to do it for less.
Thanks! -steamboattyaudi

Try A1 transmission in Englewood. They gave me a price of $2335 to rebuild my transmission. I also have a 97 A8 that had a rebuilt worked on by the Georgia transmission repair shop and it didn't last even 3000 miles and they would not warranty it. A1 #303-781-0053.

shop is:
Autoworks Colorado, near the intersection of C-470 and Kipling on the south west side of Denver.
I'd call them and talk to them about how much work they have done in the past on the ZF trannies.

http://www.autoworkscolorado.com/aw/</a
