Default transmisson repaired, One oring bad 1.5 liters low. Runs pretty goodnow.

upon inspection you can tell that the master tech at the dealership(had 20 years exp. Best in the shop, this is what I was told) either did not replace the oring from when it failed the first time or when he did he did not seat it correctly and tightened it down and it crushed it. so most likely it has been slowly leaking since they replaced the transmission in March. Between that and the few torx bolts they forgot to tighten on the transmission pan I lost 1.5 liters. Filled it last night and it runs pretty good now. I am amazed every time i get under this car at the crappy job that Audi techs do. It is amazing that anyone would buy a new car from them having previously owned one. I have a feeling that the car will be very reliable if I do or help have all the work done on the car in the future. Truly amazed that Audi of America allows for such bad things to happen to their customers. lexus looks better every time I have to refix something that Audi fixed. I fonly I did not love driving this car so much. May be I will just keep buying D2 they seem to keep coming done in price.

Default Great to hear.....in repair, you're only as good as your last mistake

I agree with you....but I have been selling repair for almost 15 years and you're only as good as your last mistake.

The real problem is that they pay the techs per job, so the faster they get them done, the more money they make, why would anyone want to do a good job and take their time?

Glad you found the simple problem that could cost how much if not found???
