Doc:
I have a black interior and travel with two 100+ yellow labs. Go to Home Depot and buy "Carpet Masker". You can find it by the roll in the carpet department. It is a clear 30" plastic with adhesive on one side. It's like a big role of Scotch Tape. Put on on the door panels and floors and you are set. When you are at your destination,peel off and throw out. I use two sheets on the seats and vac after each trip.
If you have hair on the rear window deck or door panels use a semi soft scrub brush and just keep brushing....good luck.
