Ugh!!! The A8 wouldn't start this morning.....

Default Well the ISV was stuck for sure...

I took off the ISV and cleaned it up with some carb cleaner. It was stuck for sure, I put 12v to it with my little hobby converter. ( a converted computer power supply with an on/off switch and plugs putting out 11.82v )
Even after the first cleaning the valve wouldn't rotate. I went at it some more and got the valve to rotate with a Qtip and did some more cleaning. Then I hit it again with the 11.82v and it turned freely.
Letting the RTV glob dry fully over night and will post results in the AM...er PM after my finance test.

Default You are probably right that hardened is no problem -I had o2 issues and

was told to avoid silicone anywhere near the intake.
not sure if it is the droplets or the fumes -I stray clear regardless since.
Those hoses look shiny-may have a laquer /sealer on them

As long as he lets the stuff dry he's fine. Also this is just to test for the prob. Temp fix.
