Default USB KKL driver

I bought a cable from e-bay and downloaded VAG-COM 409-1 from ross-tech.com but for some reason I can't install driver for USB interface. I follow instalation instructions from the site but it seems like wizzard cannot find proper .dll file in VAG-COM folder. Any thoughts? someone experienced same?
P.S. I tried two different laptops, same result.
Thanks.

Is your cable USB or serial?

Default Plug in the cable

then go to pc control panel /system/device manager/ports and then see what port your cable is assigned to then close and return to vagcom /options and check the port is assigned to the same port# if so save and proceed if not reassign

Default does anyone have driver file itself?

if yes, could you e-mail it to me? I could get it from there.

Default Oh, and install the USB driver first, then install the VAG COM 311-2. Make sure under the options,

you switch the com port. then test it. It should work. I have winxp so my setup works this way.

Default I had same problem and had to download the driver I needed from the Seller

Link to the auction is below. With drivers from this seller mine now works on 409.1

I do now realize that the Shareware version alone will not do much - so I will be buying a license for the full version.<ul><li><a href="http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&amp;item=4595285353&amp;rd= 1&amp;sspagename=STRK%3AMEWN%3AIT&amp;rd=1">http ://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&amp;item=4595285353&amp;rd= 1&amp;sspagename=STRK%3AMEWN%3AIT&amp;rd=1<
