I have an A6 coming off a lease in a couple of months and just saw a 2000 A8 L with 46,000 miles at my dealer. The car has Navigation and CD changer among other options. It is Audi Assured. I was wondering what a fair price would be to pay the dealer. Any issues I should be looking for on this car. Thank you.

Ask if rear mainseal has been replaced, and look to see if it's been leaking on the (left?) cat.

Ask if the fuel tank sending unit seal has been replaced.

Heck, ask to see a complete maintenance history.

Have the transmission serviced as part of the deal - drop pan, replace filter, replace as much fluid as comes out in this process. They're tell you it isn't required maintenance. We'll tell you it is.

Guessing high 30's, maybe even low 40's with Nav, on price from a dealer. What are they asking? You really need to get a bluebook, which are really black. That's what dealers go by.

FWIW it cost the dealer ~$1500 to get the car into AA program with AoA.

You realize, if you get this car, you'll have to plead with the mods to change your username ;-)
