Default Used S8 Pricing...

Just saw a 2002 S8 on my dealer's lot with about 23,000 miles on it. Ming with tan leather. Mint condition with the exception of ugly chromed wheels that I didn't care for. Listed for $59K with a certified warrantee. What would be a good deal assuming I bang em on the fact it doesn't have stock wheels.

Default Wow, I'm gonna have Jack do my negotiating from now on!

That's an amazing deal. But back to the original question... My guess would be that you should get that car (or similar)for $50k - $54k. I would think that you should easily get at least five grand off that list if they want to sell it. If not, keep looking - there are much better deals out there if you're patient. Just my 2cents. Good Luck!

Default No disrespect, but this does not appear to be typical market value....

straight up?
Any trade?
Clean title?
What else should we know to believe that this type of "find" is out there?

Again, I mean no disrespect, but this is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay below book.

Default Re: That price seems quite high even for certified. See the link

for the winning bid on an '03 S8. It sold for $51k. The cost to certified is only about $1400.

Hope this helps.

Default Re: Used S8 Pricing...

I recently paid $48k for a 2001 S8 with only 7K miles. Much like A8's, mileage is the primary factor in price, probably b/c hardly any difference in options or accessories on S8's no matter what year it is. e.g. I'd rather have a 2001 with 7K miles than a 2002 with 23K. Granted, mine is an unusual situation, but I agree that $59K is too much. I waited a few months until I found one. Be patient and you'll be rewarded.

Default Autotrader was a great tool for me, I watched it for a few months before getting mine...

...and I finally found the perfect one for me. That price (59K??)seems really high, you will get a fair barometer at autotrader, and will be able to find a good number to "ballpark" the price.

It will be the best purchase you have ever made! I can't wait to drive my car in the morning!!

Default Clean title, no trade, purchased from wholesaler...

I agreed that the price I paid is way below book, that's why I bought it. I've got nothing to gain by misleading anyone.
